ABOUT US

The Construction Industry Partnership is an industry-led network of construction industry leaders and managers located in the Greater Fresno Region. The purpose of the construction cluster is to address the challenges hindering the competitiveness of construction industry businesses in Fresno, California. We are focusing on three key areas of need:
Industry Collaboration
Focuses on fostering collaboration and communication, particularly in the development of the Center for Construction Excellence.
Public Policy
Works with public agencies to improve construction-related processes and interagency collaboration.
Workforce Development
Working to define industry demand and workforce gaps to build appropriate education and training programs.
Background
The Construction Industry Partnership was originally convened in November 2003 by leaders of the Fresno Regional Jobs Initiative, a unique public-private partnership to create 25,000 to 30,000 net new jobs in the Greater Fresno Region in the next five years. The construction industry was identified as a large and important employment base by the Regional Jobs Initiative. The Construction Industry Partnership was formed to support and strengthen the industry in Central California and to work with the many construction industry associations already serving the Fresno Region.
