WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SUB-COMMITTEE

In the area of workforce development, the Construction Industry Partnership is supporting the Fresno County Workforce Investment Board’s efforts in conducting the annual Fresno County Employment Survey.

CIP is also working with local representatives of Associated General Contractors to plan a career expo for spring 2008 where companies, labor representatives and training providers can showcase their products to high school students and adults interested in pursuing careers in construction.

Lastly, CIP is assisting local educational institutions, including California State University, Fresno and Fresno City College, improve their programs in engineering and construction management.
