MIKE FENNACY
Associate Architect

Many of the architects at award-winning firm of Edwin S. Darden Associates, Inc. grew up in the Fresno community. Mike Fennacy, an Associate in the firm, is one such architect. Mike graduated from Fresno High School in 1981. He received his degree in architecture from the University of Southern California in 1988. Architecture was not just a random career choice for Mike. His grandfather was also an architect. When talking about his grandfather Mike said, “I respected the knowledge, skill, craftsmanship and attention to detail. Those skill sets impressed upon my mind the idea that I wanted to become an architect.�

After college Mike returned to the Fresno area to practice architecture and raise a family. He landed a coveted position with Edwin S. Darden Associates, Inc., a firm organized and oriented to all phases of architectural design, planning, and construction of complex public works projects. As a local firm with more than a 45-year investment in Fresno, they have remained steadfast to the basic tenets on which it was founded: good design and the highest level of professional service.

Mike's children attend a school designed by Edwin S. Darden Associates, Inc., Garfield Elementary School in Clovis (part of the Buchanan Educational Center). Mike is currently working on another Elementary School for the Clovis Unified School District, Fugman Elementary, which is under construction.

Fugman Elementary School is designed to serve as an education facility, and with the community needs in mind. The school is a cultural center for the neighborhood and will be used for recreational activities and community functions.
